About the event
What you'll do
In this experience, we will dive into the Japanese art of kokedamas. We will first talk about the fascinating history of this old art form, as well as how it is related to Japanese customs and the philosophy of wabi sabi. Then, I will show you how to make your first kokedama. Making kokedamas involves turning peat moss into a soil ball and then wrapping it in sheet moss to create a self sustaining pot to hold your plant. Each person will have their own station to create TWO kokedamas, that will eventually be taken home. This is perfect for those who are looking for a romantic and unique date or an enjoyable time spent with a family member learning a new trade.
